Low cost carrier SpiceJet has reportedly increased its excess baggage pre-booking charges for domestic flyers with immediate effect. While no amount is charged for upto 15kg, SpiceJet flyers will now pay Rs 1,425 for checking-in 20kg. The carrier has also hiked the pre-booking charges for the slab of 20-30 kg to Rs 2,850, 30-45kg to Rs 3,500, 45-65kg to Rs 4,667 and 65-95kg to Rs 8,000. However, Rs 300 per kg is charged for those who do not pre-book excess baggage for beyond the allowed 15kg limit at airport counters.
