Exams postponed due to protest in top University

Following the suicide of a postgraduate student in Osmania University’s hostel washroom on Sunday, protests broke out in the college. Reports say, 22 college students were arrested for involving in violence in the college campus. While nine were reportedly produced before a court in Hyderabad on Monday, the rest were left off with a warning. Students alleged that depression due to unemployment and government’s delay in releasing job notification were reasons that led to the suicide. The university has reportedly postponed exams that were scheduled on December 5 and 6.
