Every Indian will own a smartphone in next 5 years: NITI Aayog

Niti Aayog Chief Executive Amitabh Kant on Wednesday reportedly said that every Indian will have a smartphone in the next five years. Amitabh reportedly said that the cost of smartphone acquisition has fallen to Rs 70 per consumer and it is expected to come down to as low as Rs 2,000. 400 million smartphones are in India currently.
