DOCTORS SUCCESSFULLY REMOVE 3.5 FEET IRON ROD FROM MAN'S BRAIN

A 28-year-old man got into a massive car accident in Kolkata on April 28 during which a 3.5 feet-long iron rod went through his brain. The rod reportedly broke from a road divider and went through his forehead. The victim, Taraque was admitted at Apollo Gleneagles with no expectation of living.

The doctor could not even get a CAT scan of the victim due to the huge piece of rod sticking from his head. They had to remove the rod using a unique endoscopic method to stop the bleeding. Taraque was successfully saved from the intensive surgery. The doctor who performed the surgery reportedly admitted that he had never performed such a surgery in his 30 years of career.

The doctor's feat was lauded by the other doctors of the hospital. Some even called it a 'miracle'. Taraque was reportedly discharged on Tuesday.
