Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar’s daughter Aishwarya got engaged to Cafe Coffee Day (CCD) founder Siddhartha Hegde’s son Amarthya Hegde today.

The engagement took place at former Karnataka CM and Union minister SM Krishna’s residence in Bengaluru on Monday. As per ANI reports, a small family ceremony took place to confirm the marriage as everyone wanted to keep it a low-key affair because it is not yet one year since the death of Amartya’s father.

Siddhartha Hegde passed away on July 29, 2019. He was the son-in-law of SM Krishna. As per police, it was a case of suicide. 

The wedding will take place in December. Aishwarya is an engineering graduate and is the eldest daughter of Shivakumar and Usha, ANI further reported.
