To fans' shock, who never expected Dhoni to venture into politics, an ex union minister of BJP claimed that Dhoni will join BJP. Earlier, Gautam Gambhir has joined BJP and now he is enjoying a good career in politics.

Former union minister and BJP leader Sanjay Paswan told IANS that Dhoni can join BJP. “On this issue, there has been a discussion for long, although this decision will be taken only after his retirement,” said Paswan.

“Dhoni is my friend, he is a player of world fame and there have been discussions on bringing him into the party fold,” he added. However, Dhoni's side is yet to comment on the news.
