GOOGLE TECHIE TAKES UP STEALING TO MEET GIRLFRIEND'S EXPENSES

A 24-year-old Google techie was arrested on Wednesday after he was caught stealing to meet his girlfriend's expenses.

On September 11, a conference was held for senior executives of MNCs hosted by IBM at Taj Palace in Delhi. Reportedly, one Devyani Jain had Rs 10,000 stolen from her handbag. A case was registered and after analysing the CCTV footage, the suspect was zeroed in on.

The police established his identity through the list of invitees and traced him to his residence. The accused was caught on Tuesday. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and stated that he was in a financial crunch and stole money to meet his girlfriend's expenses.
