In a case of gross negligence by a Delhi-based hospital, a premature baby that was declared dead, along with its twin, came alive when the parents had taken it for burial. This led to angry reactions from the parents and relatives who protested against the hospital. Max Hospital in Delhi's Shalimar Bagh said that the doctor who declared the still alive baby 'dead' has been suspended. Delhi police have registered a case and investigations are underway. Last month, Fortis Hospital in Gurgaon, was in the dock for billing a 7-year-old dengue patient Rs 18 lakh and eventually failing to save her, which is being investigated by the government.
