COURT REJECTS PLEA OF MAN SEEKING DIVORCE SAYING WIFE HAS BEARD

A family court in Ahmedabad reportedly rejected a plea of a man who sought divorce saying that his wife had beard and masculine voice. The man had also contended that he didn’t know, before marriage, that she had facial hair and claimed that the wife’s family duped him.

However, the woman, in her reply, said that she had some facial hair due to hormonal imbalance and added that it could be removed through treatment. She also alleged that her husband sought divorce as he wanted to kick her out of the house.

The man had claimed that he didn’t see the woman’s face before marriage as it would be against the tradition. While the man didn’t turn up for further proceedings, the court dismissed his petition.
