COUPLE HELD CAPTIVE; HUSBAND TORTURED AND WIFE RAPED

In a shocking incident in Mumbai, a newlywed couple were held captive by two men for two weeks. Reportedly, in the two weeks duration, the men thrashed the husband and raped the wife several times.

One of the assailants posing as a cop went to the couple's house on February 6. The man had alleged to the wife that her husband was under arrest and that she should accompany him to the station so as to get bail. The man ended up taking her to a location where her husband was held captive by another man.

The couple was finally let go on February 18. The two immediately went to the police and registered a complaint against the assailants.
