COOKING GAS PRICE HIKED

The subsidised cooking gas price has been increased by Rs 2.71 per cylinder from Saturday midnight. The hike is because of the tax impact of base price rising due to a sudden increase in international rates and fall in rupee.
A statement issued by Indian Oil Corp (IOC) said, “The increase is mainly on account of GST on the revised price of Domestic Non-Subsidised LPG.” Subsidised LPG will cost Rs. 493.55 in Delhi with effect from Saturday midnight.
Oil firms, taking into account average benchmark rate and foreign exchange rate in the previous month, revise LPG price on 1st of every month.
