BJP's Yeddyurappa on May 19 announced his resignation as Chief Minister of Karnataka before the trust test to prove BJP's majority. Yeddyurappa was invited by the Governor, Vajubhai Vala to take oath as CM on May 17, which brought in severe criticisms. Reportedly, recently Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam lashed out at the Karnataka Governor for inviting the BJP to form the government.
Apparently, it has not sat well with the Congress that BJP leader Yeddyurappa was asked to form the government despite the clear majority of Congress-JD(S). Speaking to the press, Sanjay Nirupam said, "Vajubhai Vala has established a new standard of loyalty by inviting Yeddyurappa to form the government. From now on, perhaps everyone in the country will name his dog as Vajubhai Vala."
