CLASS 8 STUDENT BEATS UP TEACHER WITH IRON ROD AFTER BEING SCOLDED FOR POOR ATTENDANCE

Violence and incidents of sexual harassment have become a common occurrence across schools in India. In yet another instance, a class 8 student from a government school in South Delhi, attacked his teacher with an iron rod.
According to a report in India Times, the student thrashed his teacher after he was scolded for not bringing his textbook and for having short attendance.
The student came to the school after a few days, and was scolded by the teacher for not brining his books, police said. Upon checking, the teacher found an iron rod in his bag. During investigation, the other students told police that after taking out the iron rod from the student's bag, the teacher kept it on his table.
When the teacher got busy with his work, the student picked up the rod from the table and kept it back inside his bag. When the teacher came to know, he tried to take away the student's bag. The boy then took out the rod and attacked his teacher with it, said police.
After beating the teacher up, the student fled from the spot. The teacher was rushed to a nearby hospital, and is being treated for his injuries.
