Gone were the days where the students fear teacher’s punishment and complete their homework on time. It has been almost a decade now where teachers have been given strict rules and restrictions to handle students in case of disobedience and other disciplinary violations. But such restrictions did not alter this strict Sanskrit teacher in Chhattisgarh.
According to a Daily Thanthi report, Komal Mandal works as a Sanskrit teacher in a school at Surajpur Nagar, Chhattisgarh. She had reportedly asked the students a particular set of questions but since the students failed to answer, Komal punished the students with a strange punishment which is called ‘Murka’.
Murka is a punishment where the students have to bend forward and hold their ears with their hands after passing them through two legs. Further, the teacher asked the students to carry a book over their spinal. While the students are put into this horrible punishment, Komal Mandal took a video by making them say ‘I’m a donkey, I’m a donkey’.
Reportedly, few students were embarrassed and tried to close their faces but Komal had beaten them with a stick to keep their faces open. The incident was escalated to the State Education Authorities after the video reached the concerned students' parents via WhatsApp. During the investigation, Komal had reportedly said that her intention was not to make the video viral but to threaten the students by showing it to their parents.
