20 PEOPLE KILLED AFTER BUS CRASHES INTO AUTO-RICKSHAW; BOTH VEHICLES FALL INTO WELL
Home > News Shots > IndiaIn a shocking case, at least 20 people were killed after a speeding bus collided with an auto-rickshaw. Both the vehicles hit each other with such force that they fell into a roadside well. Currently, a rescue operation is on at the spot.
This sad incident took place in Maharashtra's Nashik district at Meshi Phata on the Malegaon-Deola Road. As per police officials, more than 30 people have suffered injuries in the accident.
According to News 18 report, the speeding State Transport bus, packed with passengers, crashed into the auto-rickshaw. The impact of the collision was so severe and big that the bus dragged the auto-rickshaw along with it into a roadside well.
After initial investigations, Sadashiv Waghmare, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nashik Rural said that "as of now we have pulled out 15 bodies from the well and injured have been rushed to state-run hospitals in Malegaon and Deola."
"Also, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation-run (MSRTC) bus was heading to Kalwan in Nashik while the auto-rickshaw was coming from opposite direction," Waghmare further added.
