The Law Commission of India, in its report submitted to the Law Ministry on Wednesday, had recommended the Centre to bring the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and its constituent member cricketing associations under the Right To Information (RTI) Act. According to a report by the Indian Express, the commission claimed that the BCCI escaped public scrutiny due to non-consideration of its role as monopolistic in regulation of the game, thus resulting in an environment of opacity and non-accountability of the board.
