Home > News Shots > IndiaIn a shocking incident, a 10- year old boy looted Rs. 10 Lakh from a cooperative bank in Jawad area in Neemuch district, Madhya Pradesh within just 30 seconds and managed to do so without getting noticed by anyone. Police investigation later revealed that the boy was a part of a larger gang which has trained children to rob.
A CCTV Footage of the bank shows the child walking into the bank at 11 am. He was dressed in rags. He enters the cashier’s cubicle unnoticed and starts putting in wads of Rs. 500 notes in his bag. The footage further shows how he walks out of the bank with a bag full of cash and manages to do so within half a minute.
However, he raised alarm without realizing as he started running immediately after exiting the bank.
According to the police, a man in his twenties was seen lingering around in the bank and as soon as he saw the cashier get up and move to another room, he signaled the child to come inside the 500 notes kept on the counter,” Republic World cited in its report.
SP Manoj Rai told the media that the boy was short and therefore everyone failed to notice him. According to Jawad Police station in- charge, OP Mishra, both the minor as well as the man ran in opposite directions.
The investigation on this case is ongoing and police are interrogating suspects, witnesses and others in connection to the case.
