AT LEAST 11 KILLED IN FIRE AT CRACKERS FACTORY

According to reports, at least 11 people have been killed so far in a major explosion at a firecrackers factory in Warangal district of Telangana at around 11.30 am on Wednesday. While two people with serious injuries were taken to a nearby hospital, the death is expected to rise as more people are stuck under the debris.
Police, fire department officials and the district administration have reportedly rushed to the spot and are carrying out rescue operations.
Reports further said that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced Rs 5 lakh compensation for the families and expressed his condolences. He also reportedly ordered the district administration to give treatment to the injured at the state’s expense.
