Another state approves of death penalty for child rape

The Arunachal Pradesh government passed a bill on Friday approving of death penalty for child rape.  Arunachal Pradesh became the fourth state to pass the stringent law after Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana. The bill sought to make amendments of awarding death penalty to those who are involved in gang-raping children below 12 years in sections 376AA and 376D of the Indian Penal Code.
