Union Minister Arun Jaitley reportedly returned home on Monday after three weeks of staying at AIIMS due to a kidney transplant. The surgery took place on May 14 following which he stayed in isolation at the hospital.
He took to his official Twiter page to announce his return back home. He thanked the doctors and nurses who took care of him. He wrote, "Delighted to be back at Home. My gratitude to the Doctors, Nursing officers and the paramedics who looked after me for over the past three weeks. I wish to thank all well-wishers, colleagues and friends who were very concerned and continued to wish me for my recovery."
As Jaitley could not take care of his ministry, Railways Minister Piyush Goyal was given the additional charge of the finance ministry.
Delighted to be back at Home. My gratitude to the Doctors, Nursing officers and the paramedics who looked after me for over the past three weeks. I wish to thank all well-wishers, colleagues and friends who were very concerned and continued to wish me for my recovery.
