Arhan Singh, the man who was shamed by Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma for littering, served a legal notice to the actor and her husband cricketer Virat Kohli on Saturday. The top batsman had caught the incident on video and shared it on social media.
Reportedly, Arhan threw out a plastic wrapper out on the road through his car’s window in Mumbai last week. That’s when the window of an SUV next to him rolled down and Anushka started to give him a lecture. Husband Kohli captured the incident in his phone and later shared the video on his Twitter.
The video garnered millions of views on social media and received mixed reactions. While Congress leader Sanjay Jha said that celebrities don’t need publicity when they attempt a good thing, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said civic sense is social ethics.
Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness. @AnushkaSharma pic.twitter.com/p8flrmcnba
