VOICE FOR WOMAN JUDGE TO PROBE DILEEP'S INVOLVEMENT IN ACTRESS SEXUAL ASSAULT GETS LOUDER

Actors Honey Rose and Rachana Narayankutty, office bearers, of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists or AMMA, led by superstar Mohanlal, on Friday filed a petition in the Kerala High Court pleading that a woman judge hear the actress kidnap case, in which the once famous actor has been named an accused. The petition is to be heard next week. 

Several, mainly, Womens Collective in Cinema or WCC have been critical of AMMA for the way the association has been handling the case.

AMMA's decision to reinstate Dileep right after veteran actor Mohanlal became its president invited a lot of backlash. While some rooted for the actor saying that the case was sub-judice most were critical of the move considering his name wasn't cleared by police officials investigating the case.

The once famous actor had popular public opinion going against him once it came to be alleged that he had a hand in the kidnap and sexual assault of the actress against whom he is supposed to have held a personal grudge.
