HALF OF AIR POLLUTION DEATHS IN WORLD FROM INDIA, CHINA: REPORT

State of Global Air study by US-based Health Effects Institute has estimated that half of the global deaths due to air pollution occur in India and China. The report, released on Tuesday in Boston, states that PM2.5 pollution levels in India and people’s exposure to particulate pollution are on a steep rise in India. Meanwhile, in China, the pollution levels have started stabilising with people’s exposure to particulate pollution witnessing a decline, the report said.
