4-STOREY BUILDING COLLAPSES, 4-YEAR-OLD KILLED WHILE SEVERAL PEOPLE TRAPPED

In a shocking case, a portion of a four-storey building collapsed in Maharashtra's Palghar district on late Tuesday night.

Several people are said to be trapped in the building while a four-year-old girl was killed in the mishap.

According to Times of India (ToI) report, the girl was playing in the balcony on the third floor when a portion of the wall hit the child and crashed to the floor.

The building called the Nityanand Dham, was illegally constructed, ToI further reported.

Minutes after the incident, locals rushed to the spot and rescued people to safety. However, they could not save the child. 

Currently, the Municipal corporation, area police and fire brigades are on the spot carrying out rescue operations. Further details are awaited in this matter.
