In a tragic and sad incident, a three-year-old boy died in Telangana's Medak district after falling into a 120-feet deep borewell. The child had fallen into the newly dug borewell on Wednesday.
The incident happened at around 5:00 pm in an agriculture field located in Papannapet mandal of the district. The boy was walking with his grandfather and father.
After officials were informed about it, authorities came into action and launched a massive rescue operation to save the child's life. But Sadly, the boy's body was only recovered on Thursday morning.
According to news agency ANI, the body was found 17 feet deep inside the borewell; he has been identified as Sai Vardhan. Meanwhile, Collector, Medak, K Dharma Reddy told ANI that, “There were three borewells dug without permission. Necessary action will be taken.”
During the rescue operation, the boy was supplied oxygen inside the 120 feet open borewell. Even earth excavation machines were brought to help in rescuing the child.
