In a shocking case, two men who had gone to visit Maharashtra's overfilled Katraj lake encountered a misfortune incident at Katraj lake. They slipped and fell from 20 feet into the water but were saved on time by a hero firefighter.
As the intense rain in troubling the country, many states are still facing the havoc due to it. Pune is also one of the city where rains are increasing common man's problem.
According to India Today reports, when locals got to know that Maharashtra's Katraj lake is getting flooded, tourist thronged to see the place. People had been gathering at Katraj lake for past two days.
Amongst them two excited men too visited the place but were saved on time. Seemed, they climbed on to a higher place to click the perfect selfie when the incident took place. As the place was slippery, the two slipped and fell into a 20-ft-deep water pit.
On lookers were shocked to see what happened and were confused to hoe to help. But within minutes, a firefighter spotted the two friends in trouble and saved them.
The firefighter has been identified as Nilesh Rajivada, who lives near Katraj dam. While speaking to media here, Nilesh said that he rescued the two friends with the help of one of his friends Amol.
After the rescue, it was learnt that the two were also intoxicated at the time of the incident.
Currently, the police department has deployed some security officials at the lake for further happenings.
