A 16-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh reportedly registered a complaint in Muzaffarnagar police station against four youths for assaulting her for ten days. Reportedly, the girl was waiting in the bus stand, and the four youths who came in a car offered her a lift. The girl readily accepted as the youths were known to her. According to media reports, the girl was held captive and was gang-raped for ten days continuously. The girl alleged that she was forced to eat meat and change her religion. On September 16, she was set free near the Ganga canal bridge on the village outskirts. During her confinement, the girl said that the boys threatened to kill her if she complained to the police, a report says. A search raid on the boys is being conducted.
