India becomes second-largest importer of LPG

India has reportedly toppled Japan to become the world's second-largest importer of liquefied petroleum gas. According to a report by the oil ministry's Petroleum Planning & Analysis cell, India used 11 million tons of LPG in the financial year. Notably, this is an increase of 23 percent over the last year. Meanwhile, Japan's import has slipped 3.2 percent during the same period to 10.6 million tons. Currently, China remains the world's top LPG importer.
