Following the major ransomware attack like WannaCry and Petya, India is likely seeking a 'sharp' discount from Microsoft on Windows operating system. The deal would allow over five crore Indian Windows users to upgrade to latest Windows 10, which is claimed to be more secure. India's cyber security coordinator Gulshan Rai said that Microsoft officials have "in principle agreed" to the request.
