Jayant Sinha, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation on Wednesday reportedly announced that domestic air travellers might need to furnish some unique ID like PAN, Aadhaar or passport to book an air ticket. At present, domestic travellers only need to show an ID card and air ticket at airport entry points. Sinha also reportedly said, "We are trying to see what else we can have as unique ID so that more people are covered."
