According to reports, the Jammu and Kashmir Human Rights Commission has ordered the state government to give Rs 10 lakh within six weeks as compensation to an innocent man who was used as a human shield by Army to avoid stone pelting. Notably, the man was tied to a military jeep by Major NL Gogoi on April 9 during by-elections in the state. Further, Gogoi had made audacious claims that his act had saved at least 12 lives.
