Hockey India has reportedly filed a complaint with the Federation of International Hockey (FIH) against Pakistan over match-fixing attempts. Notably, Sardar Singh was called for questioning by the police reportedly in connection with a year-old sexual assault case, barely hours after his side thrashed arch-rivals Pakistan 7-1 in the tournament. The complaint said that the questioning of Sardar Singh was an attempt to not just affect the player and India’s performance but also influence the result of the Pakistan game.
