History behind April Fool's Day

April Fool's Day is being celebrated every year on April 1. The history behind this day is around 681 years old. Fool's Day is celebrated on the birthday of Damien Ryberg, who was born on April 1, 1436. Ryberg was a Norwegian ruler who played tricks on the kings he had battles with. Ryberg, who is believed to have learned the tricks from the stories told by his father, played it on all the Kings until he was defeated in his last battle by a Scottish monarch at the age of 89. Ryberg, on his deathbed, realised that the last story told by his father was fake, like the one you were reading for the last few seconds.
