With the help of Chennai police, the heart of a brain dead man reached Chennai from Bengaluru in just 55 minutes, which includes the flight journey as well. The flight landed at Chennai airport at 1:30 pm and the ambulance carrying the heart left at 1:40 pm, and covered a distance of 15.5 kms from the airport to Global hospital in Perumbakkam in just 14 minutes.
