According to reports, a team of officials from the Haryana government visited Amma canteens in Chennai to study its operations. One of the officials reportedly said that the move behind this visits was to establish the same model in their state. Further, reports suggested that Haryana is also looking to implement the drinking water scheme that was introduced by Jayalalithaa. Notably, the Karnataka government recently allocated Rs 100 crore for setting up of Namma Canteens across the state.
