Finance Minister Arun Jaitley reportedly said Centre proposes to launch SWAYAM platform with at least 350 online courses. He also said the platform will enable students to attend courses taught by best faculty, access high quality reading materials, participate in discussion forums, take tests and earn academic grades. Further he added, the platform would be widened by linkage by linkage with DTH channels, dedicated to education.
