Union Minister of State for Home, Kiren Rijiju has reportedly said the BJP government is promoting Hindi only per an Act of Parliament. This comes amid extreme heat that the Modi administration is reportedly forcing the Hindi language on non-Hindi speaking states. Notably, the NDA government had constituted a Hindi Advisory Committee in various ministries and departments to ensure the progressive use of Hindi in 2015.
