According to a report by livemint, the centre on Thursday denounced certain petrol pump operators' decision to keep outlets closed on Sundays, saying this will be of inconvenience to the public. The government in a tweet mentioned that stated that primary dealer associations are not participating in the closure. Notably, this comes after a petroleum dealers' consortium said fuel outlets in seven states and Puducherry would be shut every Sunday starting May 14.
