The Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday reportedly canceled the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act license of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI). Notably, PHFI is the country’s largest public health advocacy group. MHA alleges that PHFI lobbied parliamentarians, media houses and the government on tobacco control issues.
