Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday reportedly banned 22 social networking sites in Kashmir, citing misuse. The banned social networking sites include Facebook, WhatsApp, and Twitter. The Internet Service Providers have been asked to stop transmission of these sites for one month. Notably, the ban on social media comes a week after the government suspended the 3G and 4G internet mobile services in Kashmir.
