The Indian government on Wednesday reportedly implemented the pay and pensionary benefits recommendations of Seventh Pay Commission. Notably, the recommendation was temporarily suspended after the defence personnel notified the government about their persisting salary anomalies. This will benefit over 55 lakh pre-2016 civil and defence pensioners and family pensioners. However, the several concerns of the pensioners have not been resolved.
