Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday, while presenting the General Budget 2017-18, reportedly announced that cash transactions above Rs 3 lakh will not be allowed. India is mainly a tax non-compliant economy and it puts pressure on taxpayers, said Jaitley. This comes after measures by Centre to curb black money.
