A group of almost 100 farmers from Tamil Nadu resumed their protest in Delhi. President of the National-South Indian Rivers Linking Farmers Association, P Ayyakkannu, said that both the government failed to fulfill its promises. "Both state and Central governments did not fulfill the promises they made to us. They had assured us that our mortgaged jewelry would not be sold. However, banks have started selling the jewelry. Now, they are going to sell our land as well," Ayyakannu said.
