The Indian government has reportedly confirmed ISRO’s second mission to planet Mars and a new mission to Venus as well. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has given the department of Space a 23% increase in this year’s budget. The second mission to Mars is slated to happen in 2021-2022 and ISRO is also planning to put a rover on the surface of Mars. ISRO’s first mission to venus will be a simple orbiter mission.
