According to reports, at least 91 people were killed and more than 100 are missing after monsoon triggered the landslides and floods in Sri Lanka on Friday. Reports suggest that nearly 50,000 people were affected across 13 districts in the southern parts. About 8,000 of the affected had to be evacuated from the worst-hit Kalutara, a coastal city some 40 km south of Colombo. Heavy rains have destroyed hundreds of homes and cut off several roads, say reports.
