Tamil Nadu fishermen have reportedly decided to call off their six-day protest over the encounters of fishermen by Sri Lankan Navy after Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Pon Radhakrishnan held talks with them. Notably, the protest was sparked off after a 22-year-old fisherman, named Britjo, was was allegedly shot dead by Sri Lankan Navy.
