Finance Secretary Ashok Lavasa-led allowance committee is likely to submit its final report on the House Rent Allowance to the Centre in 4-5 days. According to reports, more than 47 lakh central government employees and 53 lakh pensioners will get benefitted by the committee’s move. Notably, Lavasa committee had earlier recommended to increase the rate of HRA.
