17-time-grand slam winner Roger Federer on Sunday went past Japan’s Kei Nishikori to reach his 13th Australian Open quarter-final. The 35-year-old Swiss making his return from injury defeated fifth seed Nishikori 6-7 (4-7) 6-4 6-1 4-6 6-3. Notably, Federer, seeded 17th, is playing his first competitive event since Wimbledon six months ago following a knee injury.
