The Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Saturday reportedly said the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation would build 10 lakh homes in next two years. Stating EPFO will join hands with the Urban Development Ministry for the scheme, he urged the state governments to provide land for this purpose wherever it is needed. The minister also said that discussion would be held with Ministry of Urban Development for providing Rs 2.2 lakh as interest subsidy to the beneficiaries of Economic Weaker Section scheme.
