Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday introduced a housing scheme with the assistance of Central government for the economically poor at an estimated value of Rs 1,580 crore. Under the scheme, over 50,000 concrete houses would be built for beneficiaries in town panchayat limits. Further, Palaniswami also gave away work orders to as many as five recipients to mark the launch of the scheme.
